You should remember about the necessary activity, which is fertilization. The best soil for grapes is neutral or slightly acidic, with a pH of 6.5 - 7.2.

The fertilizers used and fertilization programs have a significant impact on the development and growth of grapes, the abundance and quality of crops. Preparations should be used in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations given on the label, packaging or in the fertilization program.

What fertilizer is suitable for grapes?

Fertilizers that work best for grapes should contain primarily the following elements: potassium, phosphorus, and to a lesser extent nitrogen, which has beneficial effects during intensive grape growth. Other ingredients that are key to the proper growth of grapes are:

calcium, which has a beneficial effect on the yield of vineyards, and magnesium, the deficiency of which may lead to the death of the bunches.

Fertilizer suitable for grapes can be in liquid or granulated form.

Grape fertilization dates.

Fertilizing grapes should be carried out three times per season:

turn of March and April, before flowering, i.e. before the start of vegetation; turn of May and June, i.e. during flowering; when the fruits reach the size of a pea, i.e. after fruit set.

Soil or foliar feeding is used.

Foliar fertilization is carried out by spraying when nutrients are absorbed by the leaves. This method is used when emergency fertilizers are used. These fertilizers are a very concentrated formula, and the ingredients contained in them quickly nourish the grapes.
